CRAFTSMAN 917288 POWDER COATING SYSTEM

I've managed to get 34 of these nice, Craftsman 17288 Powder Coating Systems that normally sell for $149 at Sears, for a BimmerBoard group buy rate of just $79. This is a great deal. I won't be able to get any more at this price, so once they're gone, they're gone. I estimate that shipping will be $12 for the continental U.S. All proceeds will go toward BimmerBoard.

If you'd like to achieve professional, durable finsihes on things like valve covers, if you're restoring car parts or other metal items, powder coating is the way it's done. It's much better, and better looking, than spray paint. I'm going to do my e38 valve covers and a host of little pieces for the e32, too.

You'll need to buy the powder paint separately, which typically costs less than $10 for a bag. There are tons of colors. Sears sells it and Eastwood also carries a nice selection.

You'll also need an oven to bake on the finish. Any old kitchen oven that can achieve 350 degrees, even a toaster oven, will do. I don't recommend using the one in your kitchen that you use for cooking, though.

These systems include a nice carrying case, the powder coating gun, the transformer, high-temperature masking tape and plugs, 10 hooks and the owner's manual. They're all brand new in unopened boxes. You won't be disappointed. I've included a bunch of photos below.
