the condition of your HVAC servos.

If you live in the flatlands, then you will see little or no difference.

If you live in hilly country, and have weak and leaky HVAC servos, then you will experience changes in airflow from the vents as you climb hills (low vacuum). Other than that, no problems. but.. check around, there are lots of these pumps because they are used on lots of different euro cars, particularly diesels and cars that have thevacuum operated automatic locks(VW & MB) , so they should be plentiful in the recycle yards.

However.. before you give up on it, apply 12vdc (brown is earth, the other 2 wires give you a choice of rotation one to provode vacuum the other positive pressure) to the pump directly and see if it runs.. it may be a circut problem. Absent that, take it apart and clean the motor, brushes and contacts. Quite often they can be revived.

Be aware that a HVAC system in good condition will hold a vacuum charge for DAYS, and certainly should not bleed down in less than a minute. The vac pump motor may be gave up. js
