This is a CD53 CD/radio unit removed from a 2002 BMW 530i.

Everything works including the CD player, radio, backlighting and buttons. This is a direct replacement for a cassette player in an E39 (5 series) or E53 (X5) from 09/2001 build date up with or without DSP and without NAV. For cars built before 09/2001, you will need to order a retrofit adapter for the main harness and antenna that plugs to the rear of the radio (Part Numbers: 61 12 6 913 957 and 61 12 6 913 955)

Although coding is recommended, it is not necessary in many cases. A new CD unit from your dealership costs over $1,000!
